A. A strange beauty trick I learned was to take to round curly end of a safety pin (obviously not the pointy or latch part) and position the "o" around the blackhead and apply pressure. It should pop right out because it applies pressure in the right places so that it doesn't drive the bacteria and dirt deeper. Follow up with an astringent and maybe some oil free lotion if your face feels too dry. Voila!

A. I agree with C. Here's why. Let's say the cold black body is only warm enough to make infrared. Let's say it's glowing with 100 watts of infrared. Now, let's say you heat it up. One, it will glow visible light (shorter wavelenghts). Two, in infrared it will be even brighter (like 200 watts).

A. It means a different thing when they use it. For them, the word means "brother" or one who shared similar negative experiences. A white person can never really mean it that way unless they grew up in the hood and have been in and out of prison. When a white person generally calls black person that, they mean it with hate and as an insult. If someone calls you something and they "are one too" then the insult is lost.

How did black culture in America become the way it is today?
Q. It seems to be that in the earlier part of the 19th century, African Americans were just more real. And in the 60's...When did this whole sideways hat, big jacket, I have bling bling, culture come around? I live in a suburban area and all the black kids here seem to think that they have to get bad grades, dress a certain way (ghetto), listen to a certain type of music and act tough even though they come from nice houses and normal parents. I just want to know when the afro and the jazz/blues got lame and the swearing about hoes and bitches got cool. And why. I don't mean to stereotype or offend! A. good question. Its sometimes hard not to look at yourself as "racist" when you try to ask such a question. Put the shoe on the other foot, and you might ask why do "white people" or any one else care about what we do. Sometimes when you try or want to change someone they resist, I found it best to let the natural order of things take care of such so called "non conformity" of 80% of the rest of the population.

A. You need a soft or natural black shade. My favorite is Feria's "Black Leather"--not too dark but not dark brown. Most brands do not list that it is a natural shade, so compare color swatches with unnatural black dye shades (like Feria's "Starry Night" and Garnier's 100% Color "Blue Black"). Avoid jet black and colors with a blue or purple base--these always look like a wig, lol. Good luck~

How do I tell a white wire from a black wire, when both are black?
Q. I've got a lamp, and the switch broke. I'm trying to install a new switch. I understand the installation process, but I have to keep things straight between the black (hot) wires and white wires. However, on the lightbulb end, I have two black wires, one of which has white letters. On the power source end, I have only yellow/translucent wires, and one has black letters. Does anybody know for sure which is which? Do the black letters on a yellow wire mean it's black? Do white letters on a black wire mean it's white? Or do letters, in general, indicate one color or the other?

A. It is scary an electrician (fdk479) would say the lamp terminals are interchangeable. And to the others that think that, it is wrong!! It is very important that you get the wires right, or you will have a screw shell of the lamp HOT. The neutral needs to connect to the screw shell and the hot needs to be switched. If you have any doubt after doing the wiring, test with a meter to make sure they are correct. Now, there are many other ways that the "identified" (neutral) conductor is identified. Being white is the most well known. Another answer mentioned the ridges (common on "zip cord", you can feel the ridge on one side and not the other, the ridge side is the neutral). Q. For Christmas, I got a set of brand-new brushes (foundation, powder, blush), all of which are white with black on the ends. How do I remove permanent black texta markings from my black plastic glasses?
Q. My black plastic glasses had super glue stains on them, I tried to use nail polish remover to get rid of them - instead it made my problem worse. The large stains became all white and grey, I paniced then got a black texta which I used to cover the stains, now its all weird-coloured... What should I do to get rid of the stains? What would causes someone to black out behind the wheel while driving?
Q. A friend of mine has blacked out twice in the last 2 years behind the wheel. The first time she black out she ran over a mail box and this last time she blacked out and hit a building with her car. The doctors can not find a reason why she is having these black out episodes. A. "Blacking out" or syncope can have severe causes, some more serious than others. The most important causes to rule out are cardiac arrhythmias, strokes or seizures. Medications that can decrease blood pressure or loss of cosciousness are also important considerations. She really needs to get a thorough workup of her heart (EKG and Holter monitor and echocardiogram), MRI of the brain and depending on the story and EEG at minimum to try to determine the cause. Just as important is that she should not be driving until a cause can be found. Many states have driving restriction laws for patients who have episodes of loss of consciousness or seizures and notwithstanding the legal issues of getting into an accident if she's had fainting… [cont.]
