A. Benefits of Tourism There are a number of benefits of tourism for both the tourist and the host destination. On a large scale it offers a good alternative to some more destructive industries for generating income both on nationally and privately. The tourism industry encompasses many different areas, so it also creates jobs in many different areas. With tourism comes hotels, resturants, car rental agencies, tour companies, service stations, souvenier shops, sports equipment rentals, and much more. All of this creates many different levels of employment for people in a given community. In many places the introduction and development of tourism allows local people an opportunity for economic and educational growth that would not… [cont.]

How do Benefit Performances fit into a resume?
Q. I've performed at several benefits for theatres in my area over the years. Can these benefit performances be incorporated into my resume? If so, how best to go about doing that?
Asked by Luke C - Fri Mar 7 23:42:13 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Just do it chronologically, as any other work experience you've had, in my opinion all altruistic activities should count as much as any other work experiences, not only because they are real experiences but also because they supplement your image on the side of your heart and the way you care for your community and for humanity in general, something very well seen in 99% of the jobs out there. I feel even prouder when I do something for others without the money or the possible compensation involved other than to manifest caring for others. Don't be hesitant in mention it one war or another, it will always look good on your resume. As a matter of fact if you ask me... is your best business card brake a leg!

Is there a benefit to registering my dogs with Certified Purebred Database?
Q. I have heard of AKC registration for my dogs. I am unable to do that because I lack the paperwork from my originals pups. I have found on the internet a site called Certified Purebred Database stating I can register my dog. Is there a benefit to this or not. I know that AKC registration can benefit, but I have never heard of CPD registration.
Asked by dsrtrat - Mon Apr 14 20:18:52 2008 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments

A. No it's a scam registry. It won't make your dogs more valuable. They don't offer shows. Why waste your money? If you are interested in showwing and/or breeding, purchase excellent quality dogs from good breeders who register and compete with their dogs. You can show your unregistered dogs if they are purebreds in AKC obedience, rally, and agility if you get an ILP/PAL number on them. However they will have to be desexed.

A. Some video formats have better quality, some not. Some formats compresse better the video, some not.The best format is the format that compresses a video(or whatever,a song,a picture)without affecting the quality of the video file. That means, less digital information without affecting the quality.Mostly, people convert videos because they need more free space,i mean after the convertion the video will need less space in the hdd or usb etc.For example, because of the slow internet upload speeds, some people compresse their videos(before uploading) choosing lower resolution(in pixel) than the original video. So,the video needs less information. Some devices dont recognize specific formats and this is another reason why people convert videos. For… [cont.]

Some people do it in australia but its not a big thing here. August and Semptember im not sure about December would be the biggest month and i see u did not include Christmas in your advertising. I would be using that occasion to search for businesses wanting to get in on your project. Its the biggest money making month of the year in terms of revenue for businesses and retailers. people buying presents and stuff. Another idea would be for the businesses to put in a full page of deal, where coupons could be torn off the page. Things like 10% of shoes, or 15% of… [cont.]

What benefit to the military are ground effect vehicles?
Q. Such as the Russian Caspian Sea Monster. What benefit do these vehicles give to the military?
Asked by Anonymous - Wed Jun 10 10:47:58 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Ground effect vehicles and hydrofoils are generally much faster than comparably sized conventional ships, and are used in the role of high speed transport for materiel or personnel. They generally have efficiency advantages over comparably sized aircraft, and are less likely to suffer catastrophic losses due to accidents (since they fly very close to ground level). So, they are a kind of compromise and bridge between aircraft (speed) and water vessels (safety, efficiency, payload).

A. I don't know who's planning to run the hospitals and doctors with socialized medicine. I know some are offering universal healthcare though - which is essentially getting everyone to have insurance. If Hillary's plan actually works and everyone is covered at once - you'll benefit by dropped insurance prices.

what is the benefit of using a box spring with your mattress?
Q. IKEA sells bedframes with a mattress. Mattress manufacturers sell mattresses with a box spring. What is the benefit of having a box spring?
Asked by chladytnels - Wed Mar 22 13:43:22 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The benefit of a boxspring is to provide the proper support for the mattress and body weight is evenly dispersed across the foundation. Thus your mattress will last longer. However, some bed manufacturers offer frames that don't need a boxspring. The frames are typically a solid board as opposed to the slats that are typically found on a frame.

What is the benefit of a fuel selector?
Q. I asked my instructor she said "When you crab. bah bah" Why would you want to select one tank over the other? What would be the benefit ?
Asked by Michael - Wed May 23 12:55:17 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Not all selectors allow the "both" draw. You can use asymmetrical fuel usage to ease up the amount of trip you place on the plane (more efficient to shift the weight in fuel than to put drag on the plane with trim tabs). In the big planes we are pumping fuel from tank to tank all the time to help the balance and stress on the plane. But I have never done this to help with leaks or contamination. If you have contamination you don't usually know where it is coming from. If will notice leaks by a miss match in your fuel flow readings and your gauge. In this case you want to only draw from the leaking tank until it gets really low.

A. Get along to the Citizens Advice Bureau, if you are in the UK (There will be similar debt management charities in the US). These people will help you to examine and manage your debt. They will do a benefits check to find if there are benefits you are entitled to, but are not claiming. They will also get in touch with your various debtors to arrange a realistic repayment plan. Good luck

What is the benefit of hiring a lawyer to do my K1 fiance visa?
Q. Hello. I am applying for a K1 visa for my fiancee from Mexico. The lawyer wants 2500 plus the application fees. What is the benefit of hiring a lawyer rather than doing it myself?
Asked by bud - Sun May 10 08:24:33 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you have a complicated case where either you or your fiancee has criminal convictions or if she has previously been here in the USA illegally or overstayed a visa you will need a lawyer. If your case has no complicating factors you can do it yourself as long as you read the forms carefully and gather the evidence you need. It really is quite easy. All a lawyer will do is proof read your forms. You will still have to gather all the evidence and wait for the lawyer to send it. All replies will go to the lawyer so things can take a little longer. If you do decide on a lawyer please make sure he or she is properly qualified. Go to for free guides and support from others who are doing it for themselves. There is a forum there just for K-1 [cont.]

What is the benefit of exercising an option and holding?
Q. I own a number of stock options that are currently in the money. I believe that the stock is currently undervalued and the company does not pay dividends. Is there any benefit to exercising and holding at this point? And is there a tax event if I do exercise and hold?
Asked by gdsmatch - Thu Jan 14 19:35:31 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Generally speaking, one should only exercise one's stock options if the options are about to expire or if you want to cash out and sell the shares immediately. And since you are intending to hold, you should only exercise if your options are expiring. Exercising an option is only taxable if you have nonqualified options. If so, you will have to pay tax on the difference between the exercise price and the market price when you exercise. And if you sell the shares later and have a gain, you will also have to pay capital gains tax on the difference between the market price when you exercised your option and the price when you get when you sell. If you have an incentive stock option plan, you will not be taxed when you exercise your… [cont.]

A. The cable company often charges a monthly fee for each box, and some companies charge $3/month for the remote. So a cable card is cheaper, and you can buy your own HD Tivo to record things w/o paying the cable recording fees.

Q. The new flat we want to rent has utility bills included in the total rent, we receive housing benefit and I want to know how it will affect our claim. Thanks all - and please, no abuse because I receive benefit - it is possible to do so and work these days!
Asked by Auntie Cabbage - Mon Nov 5 14:25:01 2007 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Utility bills such as electric and gas that are included in you rent work like this for housing benefit ... they are deducted at a standard rate per week so it is totally irrelevant what you landlord is charging you for them (if you even know at all most landlords do not break this down in the rent) Water bills charged for within your rent are a little different the rent officer (ie/ the person from the inland revenue who values you rent for housing benefit purposes ) makes a decision on this based on the rateable value of you property and this will be included in his decision when he gives it to the local authority... If you are thinking of renting a new private property I would strongly advice you to have a "pre-tenancy " before you sign… [cont.]
