A. Please check with the DMV website for the papers you'll need. You DO NOT need an appt. - however, the wait time can be lengthy depending upon the time of day. If you're a teen, you'll need to show a Cert. of Completion of Driver Ed. You'll also need a Cert. of Enrollment of Driver Training.

How can I keep my clients from looking into my appointment book when scheduling?
Q. When I reschedule clients after a service, they often bend over my desk and browse my schedule. I've mentioned that the book is private for the confidentiality of the other customers, but it's still an ongoing problem. Plus, it gives them control to choose times I may not want to offer, since I'm by appointment only. When I try to hold the book on my lap or cover it with my hand, it seems unprofessional and like I'm hiding it. Any good suggestions?

A. When you make the appointment just tell them what time. And what service you want..Hair cut, color, perm, etc. So they wil know how much time to leave open for you. When you get there you can discuss the style. It's irritating when people describe what style they want over the phone. Especially if it is a new client you have never seen before

A. I don't know about all of those tasks/procedures being done at once, but there have been several times where my dentist has performed more than one small task on me during one appointment (i.e. x rays, teeth cleaning, filling).. I recently had a root canal and my wisdom teeth removed. It took 2 appointments to do my root canal and 1 for my wisdom teeth. Good luck.

Scheduling a psychiatrist appointment?
Q. I have finally decided that I think it would be a good idea. The only problem is that in just 3 weeks I will be moving. Will it just be pointless to have one visit with this psychiatrist? Will he be weary of prescribing me anything he feels necessary if I tell him that I won't be able to come back in a month? I would really rather try and get in as soon as possible.
Asked by John T - Mon Jul 21 17:49:56 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Hi John, If your moving in 3 weeks and wont be living in the same health care area then I would advise you to leave it. I'm not sure where you live but in the uk there can be a waiting list to see Psychiatrists and you get refered to them through your GP. I was refered for an emergancy appointment to see a my psychiatrist for the first time and it took 6 weeks! A Psychiatrist may not see you every month either, possibily at the start for the first 2 or 3 sessions but after that it can be up to every 4-6 months! If you really dont want to wait my advise then would be to find out from your gp or someone how long you would have to wait to see the pschiatrist and ask your gp or psychiatrist about what you do when you move. best of luck

How long is acceptable to wait for a scheduled doctor's appointment?
Q. I have a new doctor and so far I am not impressed. My appointment was scheduled for 11:30A. I arrived at 11:15A but did not see the doctor until 12:20P. What is a reasonable wait for a scheduled doctor's appointment (minus any emergencies) in your opinion. My previous doctor returned to Germany and the average wait in her waiting room was eight minutes!

Can I just call my Doctor instead of scheduling an appointment and ask him to up my dosage (Vyvanse)?
Q. He said I don't need to come in if my current dosage is working, but he never said anything about needing to up the dosage... is this "call instead of visit" idea reasonable? I don't know much about the doctor's office so I'm not sure if this is even possible... only 19
Asked by Larry - Wed Apr 14 16:48:58 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Give your doctor a call and see if they can do it over the phone for you. If not then they will just have you come in. I'm not sure what they will decide to do, but it never hurts to ask. A lot of the time you can get things taken care of over the phone, but if you have to actually talk to your doctor then they will have you come in - over the phone stuff is handled by the nurses.

do i have to wait in line at the dmv to schedule a driving appointment?
Q. i tried scheduling it online but since my 6 months arent up i cant. i was planning on scheduling it on a day my 6 months were over. i also tried calling but it took me to a machine so if there's no line i'd rather just go to the dmv and make a behind the wheel driving test appointment.

A. Since your 6 months aren't up, you will not be able to schedule an actual behind the wheel drive test no matter you go to DMV or call. To take the test on the day your 6 months are over, go online, on the making appointment page, after you fill up the info and click "submit", it will show the first available appointment. at that page, click the calendar button next to the "Date" window it will show you all the available dates Available appointment date increases everyday. Right now you can make drive test appmt for June 14 2010. It may be different for each DMV office. after you select the date you want, click the drop down menu on "Time" window and it will show you all the available appointment times for the date you select Hope it… [cont.]

A. I think age 1 is a good time to bring the child in. I would be thrilled if parents brought their children in at age 1. The main reason we bring them in so early is to educate parents on proper home care and also to help the child get used and comfortable to going to the dentist. Regarding your question about your husband's "soft teeth"... if it was going to be genetic, it would have to do with the enamel formation not working properly. That's probably something you will not know for sure until the child's adult teeth start coming in. I think it rather unlikely that your child will have soft teeth due to genetic reasons. Of high importance for your child will be a low sugar diet (low in candy and pop and juices), followed by good… [cont.]

A. Only if you have another separate confirmed appointment with DFA Pampanga. If you mean to have your scheduled appointment at DFA OCA transferred to DFA Pampanga, I don't think it's possible under their current appointment system. Each CO handles their own passport appointment system. You could ask them, though.
